Teal pumpkins are becoming popular this Halloween. It is part of the Teal Pumpkin Project. A teal pumpkin outside the home means kids with food allergy’s can get non-edible/ allergy free treats. More details can be found here. I decided to give Mandarin oranges as treats. There will be lots of candy too. I am doing both. Gave the oranges a Halloween makeover by turning them into Jack-o-lantern’s using a permanent marker. Which one are you going to choose?
Niko Niko’s is a Greek restaurant in Montrose (Houston,TX). We have visited the restaurant many times. Love the food especially Baklava. I forgot to take a photo of the yummy Baklava. If you are at/visiting Houston and love to try new food, give Nico Nico’s a try. Coffee lovers should try their Greek coffee.
Here are some mouthwatering photos of Greek lasagna, Gyro and chicken kebabs.
We did not find time to visit the farmers market in Tomball. So we searched for farms nearby where we can get eggs and decided to go to Gramen farm. They are located at 20158 Bauer Hockley Rd Tomball, TX77377. They had raw cows milk for $16 a gallon . Half a dozen eggs for $5.45 and raw unfiltered wild flower honey for $14.99. They also had a variety of cheeses, cream, chocolate milk, beef and few local made products. We bought eggs and honey. I made muttai dosai/ egg dosa with the eggs.
We harvested beans from our garden today. I turned these fresh and crisp beans into Beans Poriyal for lunch. Have a fabulous weekend.
